The West Kent CTC annual Hill Climb was held on Sunday 3rd November at Old Pol Hill. There was a good turnout of riders and supporters with ages ranging from 5 to 86. The weather was kind and it was unseasonably warm and sunny, no bad thing with all the deep breathing going on from those competing. Tea coffee and cakes were provided and a good time had by all.
The race is about half a mile with timekeepers at top and bottom. The overall winner was again this year the phenomenal Paul McQuillen, who was an enormous 17 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. Graham Lingham from Gravesend. There were other prizes for 1st veteran, lady and junior.
