Invitation to the Centenary Weekend

West Kent CTC would like the pleasure of your company at our centenary celebrations.

This will be a  lively weekend of cycling, socialising, reminiscing and a huge display of photographs and memorabilia covering the 100 years of our great club, with hospitality and cycle rides to suit all tastes.

Events to celebrate the 100th anniversary year of the club are being held on the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June  2024.

Saturday 8th June 2024 Centenary Luncheon

All are welcome at the George PH, Trottiscliffe, ME19 5DR from 12.30pm.
Buffet lunch from 1pm. If you would like lunch, please complete and return the form below.

The cost is £10 per person.

We have a private designated area in the pub where there will be displays of photographs and West Kent CTC memorabilia covering the 100 years of the club. It will also be possible to spread out into the large garden.
Personal invitations have been sent to as many existing and former club members, affiliates and friends as possible and you are sure to meet up with somebody that you know.

Please spread the word as everyone is welcome!

There will be a morning ride to Trottiscliffe from the Wetherspoons pub in Sevenoaks High St (The Sennockian) leaving at 11am lead by an experienced leader.

Sunday 9th June 2024 Centenary Rides

The Centenary Rides will start/finish at the Porcupine Pantry Cafe, Penshurst Place, Penshurst, TN11 8DG .  Permission has been granted to park in the Penshurst Place car park.

The ride comprises two loops, one to the West via Markbeech, and one to the East via Underriver. Both start from PenshurstPlace, Pocupine Pantry Café. You are welcome to ride at your own time, or to join a led ride. The led rides will depart from outside the Café at 10:30 am (heading West) and 2:00 pm (heading East). If you ride both loops the distance is 31.5 miles (50 km).Anyone who wishes to do 100 km could consider navigating these loops again, but in the reverse direction!

Many of you may want to visit the Pocupine Pantry Café. Refreshment is also available on the route at Penshurst village (Leicester Arms), Chiddingstone (Castle Inn and Tulip Tree café),Hever (King Henry VIII), Markbeech (Kentish Horse), Leigh (Fleur de Lis) and Underriver (White Rock Inn)
