On 12th April West Kent CTC’s AGM will be held at the Knockholt Village Centre (the village hall at the West end of the village) starting at 2pm. This is an opportunity to hear how we have been getting on, discuss matters of interest, to vote on any resolutions and to elect officers.
This years Hill Climb will take place on Sunday 12th April. Riders will set off at one minute intervals starting from 11.00am.
Entry fee: £1.00 on the day.
The venue is Old Pol Hill. Entries taken at the top of the hill next to the former Polhill Arms and near a lay by on the A 224 1 km south of the Badgers Mount roundabout. Tea, coffee and home made cakes will be served.
This event is primarily a bit of fun, open to all ages and abilities with a cunning handicap to even things up, with a team prize for the 3 fastest combined times of the various riding groups of the West Kent CTC. Entries are open to all, including non CTC / CycleUK members and so please encourage your friends to have a go. The fastest West Kent rider will be awarded the prestigious Martin Davis cup, onto which their name will be engraved for posterity, and prizes will be awarded for 1st lady, junior and veteran (over 70).
Even if you don’t fancy riding, it is a good opportunity to meet up with club mates and to support the event, which does take a significant number of volunteers to enable it to happen. Put it in your diary, and looking forward to seeing you there.
Organiser: Richard Bush ( 07973 182097).
After the event members will have lunch locally before attending West Kent CTC’s AGM which starts at 2pm
