Anniversary Ride. March 3rd

The Anniversary Ride is held each year to mark the anniversary of the founding of West Kent CTC in 2024.  This year’s ride has extra significance as it marks our Centenary.

Members will gather from 10.30 at the Sennockian (Wetherspoons) in Sevenoaks High Street.  The ride will set off at 11am at an easy pace to suit slower riders.  The ride will go the Duke of Wellington pub in Ryarsh in time for lunch.  Please note that the pub will not be serving sandwiches or baguettes.  Other members will make their own way to the pub.  This is an opportunity to catch up with members one does not normally ride with.   Members will ride home in impromptu groups.  Some members are likely to linger on well into the afternoon.

West Kent CTC’s Annual General Meeting. April 7th

West Kent CTC’s AGM will be held following the Hill Climb on April 7th.  The meeting will be held at Knockholt Village Centre (a hall at the West end of the village) starting at 2pm.  This is an opportunity to hear how we have been getting on during year and to discuss any issues that are raised.  Light refreshments will be available after the meeting.

Hill Climb April 7th

This event is primarily a bit of fun, open to all ages and abilities with a cunning handicap to even

things up, with a team prize for the 3 fastest combined times of the various section of the West

friends to have a go. The fastest West Kent rider will be awarded the prestigious Martin Davis cup,

onto which their name will be engraved for posterity, and prizes will be awarded for 1st lady, junior

and veteran (over 70).

Even if you don’t fancy riding, it is a good opportunity to meet up with club mates and to support

the event, which does take a significant number of volunteers to enable it to happen.

Put it in your diary, and looking forward to seeing you there.
